Miss Deanna Jablonszky

Deanna Jablonszky has been dancing since the age of seven. She focused on jazz and then branched out to contemporary, hip hop, and a variety of other styles as she was selected for the competitive team at CDA Dance Inc! She began competing at the age of nine, winning multiple awards for group routines throughout her competition years. Deanna was selected for numerous solos, duets, and trios as well over her time at CDA. She was part of a contemporary trio that has won special and overall awards at multiple competitions and was together for 5 years. Deanna has completed up to her level eight training in Vaganova ballet. She has been to many workshops to expose herself to new styles of dance and improve her own abilities, earning scholarships at most of them. Over the years, Deanna has assisted many classes and learned from the best how to teach dancers of all age and ability. She specializes in teaching Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Jazz, and has taught those styles accordingly at CDA for the past 6 years.

She is patient, kindhearted, friendly and has copious skills to teach to dedicated dancers ensuring their improvement and growth. Deanna is currently working towards a certificate/minor in dance and movement at Dalhousie University as she pursues her post-secondary degree. To continue expanding her experience in the dance industry she participates in performance programs with, Halifax-based studio House of Eights, continuing to learn and grow as a dancer. She was also a part of the PER residency program with Rooted Dance Projects during the 2024 season. Most recently she has taken on the role of practice team member with the Halifax Thunderbirds Dance Team for the 24/25 season, and the opportunity to be part of Rooted’s Youth Project premiering June 2025. She has been recognized for her choreography at competitions and is excited to share all she has learned over her dance career with a new crowd!
