Alessia Di Santo has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of three and has been competing since she was seven. Her extensive training spans multiple dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary. Alessia's solid foundation in dance theory and technique was honed during her four years in the Regional Arts Program at St. Elizabeth Catholic High School, where she specialized in Dance. In 2023, she served as Vice President of the Dance Council, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to promoting the fine arts within education. During her final year, Alessia choreographed the contemporary piece ‘Revelation’ which was honoured with the Student Choreography of the Year award.
Currently in her second year at Toronto Metropolitan University, Alessia is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in the Creative Industries Program, with a concentration in Dance/Acting Studies and Events/Live Entertainment. She is also a choreographer for the TMU Dance Pak and serves as a Fundraising and Team Bonding Executive for the Varsity Competitive Dance Team.
In addition to her work at the university, Alessia has been actively involved in choreographing for CDA, creating both competitive and recreational pieces. Her choreography has earned numerous accolades, including special awards and overall placements. Passionate about nurturing her students’ growth, Alessia is dedicated to helping them realize their full potential through the art of dance, taking great pride in both her students' achievements and her craft.
