Emily Pagliaro has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of two, developing a lifelong passion for movement, artistry, and performance. As a competitive dancer for 13 years, Emily trained extensively in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip-hop and more, earning accolades at regional and national competitions. She has been selected and participated in a dance pageant, competing for dancer of the year, and has been invited on multiple occasions to compete with Team Canada outside of the country. She has completed up to the Pre-Elementary level in Vaganova ballet, and continues to train and improve her ballet and pointe technique. These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of the dedication and discipline required to excel in dance.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Dance Program at York University, Emily is refining her technique and expanding her knowledge of choreography, performance, and dance theory. At York University, Emily has had the opportunity to work with esteemed faculty and participate in performance opportunities, such as dancing in York University’s Dance Innovations: Lifting the Veil, further enhancing her artistry and teaching skills.
Emily has played an integral role in choreographing for CDA, crafting both competitive and recreational routines that have garnered widespread recognition. Her work has received numerous accolades at competitions, including special awards, top overall placements, and the Top Novice Choreography Award. Emily is excited to share her experience and passion with CDA, and is eager to help students reach their full potential, build confidence, and experience the true joy of dance.
